The English for Business course already assumes a good grasp of English, and takes things a step further. While spelling and grammar errors will be pointed out, grammar is not dealt with specifically. The objective is to achieve a clear, effective style for written business communication, and to adapt to the different methods of presentation required for the following:

• fund-raising letters seeking sponsorship or donations
• social letters of appreciation, condolence and courtesy
• memos, faxes, telex, cables and email
• clear, logical reports and summaries
• advertising copy and publicity material
• CVs and personnel reports
• job applications, specifications, acceptances etc.
